I have a confession to make, and it might be really controversial...
I regularly use a Nord exclusively as a MIDI controller.
Meaning, I don't use the Nord's built-in sounds, I just use it to tell my software what I'm playing. And it's not just applicable to the Nord, but any keyboard.
This bothers some folks, and I understand why. These keyboards can be EXPENSIVE and it feels like a misuse (or at least under-use) to only treat it as a controller.. but I have pretty strongly held reasons as to why it's still the best approach for me and the way I prepare and perform my live keys parts.
I may be opening a can of worms... but this new video lays out my opinion on why most churches should go this route, whether they have a red keyboard, a grey one, or a purple one (if you have a purple one, you're very cool, FYI)

When I started playing the only available keyboards were a farfisa or vox continental so I’ve played almost any keyboard produced over the last 60 years. I to use my keys now as a midi controller, Sunday keys is the best thing to come along in all my years of playing, being able to have a song list already in set order with notes for each song help my senior moments, and the to now how automation so I’m not tweaking several keyboards on stage. When traveling internationally on your I couldn’t carry a keyboard because power differences around the world wish this app existed back then. Thank u guys for this app
