If you've been around the Sunday Sounds community for any amount of time, you're probably familiar with Isaac Rodriguez. He's one of the best keys players I know, with an incredible heart for worship.
Whenever I hear Isaac play, I can't help but wonder what's going on in his mind- he's just so effortlessly good at what he does. Isaac has been a guest in a lot of our videos, teaching you how to play in the style of popular worship groups.
But today, I thought it would be fun if we all got a look into Isaac's own mind. What is he listening for? What sounds does he gravitate toward? What is his thought process when he's behind the keys?
Or ... is it all just feel and natural talent?
Basically... I wanted to answer the question 'how can we sound more like Isaac?!' Check out the video below to see how it went!
I know it can be a challenge, maybe even uncomfortable, to step outside of the ruts you already have well worn when it comes to your approach to the keyboard. But that same discomfort can help strengthen your creativity and expand what you're able to bring to your band. I hope you'll give the video a watch and take some time to chew on what Isaac shares.
