There is an often overlooked keys responsibility, that makes its way into most worship services.

It’s not great 'chops.'

It’s not great 'sound design.'

And it’s not something most keys players take time to practice.

When this skill is handled well, the worship set feels smooth and intentional, and when it’s overlooked, those same moments can feel rushed, awkward, or distracting.

If you haven't guessed it yet, I'm talking about transitions.

This week, I asked my friend Isaac Rodriquez to unpack transitions, and share his approach to these moments on keys, and trust me, there are some super practical tips every keys player will find useful. Watch the video below to learn!

Great input from Isaac. It would be good to have more on this topic. Especially some pointers on chords that can help to link difficult key changes. Even if it gets a bit technical it would be helpful.
