Thanks, those are some great tips! One thing that can make it easier to substitute chords like your second example is the ability to edit your chord charts, which is hard if you are using static PDFs. An app that lets you find and then EDIT chord charts/lyrics is Chord Craft. It also has transpose, autoscroll, allows you create set lists, and generate PDFs. You can pull up a chord chart for almost any song instantly; you just have to know a song’s title and maybe the artist’s name and it will find the chord chart for you. It’s free to try, so check it out. You can download it in the App Store or from here:

Good talk!
About pianists playing octaves it’s good to skip the lowest octave on the piano IF playing together with a bassist, otherwise the bass will disappear being in the same octave as the pianos lowest?
This is so lovely and very helpful. What would make these videos even better…. if you told us what sounds you are using so I can replicate exactly what she is doing on the screen. Also, in some of your other videos showing how to play specific songs, sure would be helpful to have an option that you can hear the words and music as the final result of how to play the song. Thank you for all you guys do!!!
