Elevation Worship has one of the most distinct Sounds in contemporary worship. Based in North Carolina, their music has always struck me as uniquely influenced by their location - especially over the last several years, from swampy B3 organs, to gritty synths (NC is also the birthplace of Moog synthesizers and I think that has played a part) to huge, ambient synth textures.
I love the way Elevation produces their tracks, particularly their ability to layer a bunch of keys sounds together in the mix, some songs even get into the double digits.
But how in the world could you translate all of those expertly produced parts, to a live performance?
It can be a bit overwhelming if you're the only keys player on your team, and asked to cover all that space. You could spend all day trying to dial in each layer, or leave it up to the tracks and 'just play a pad' *shudder.*
But you don't have to.
Instead, I want to show you a simple way you can still capture the same feel and energy, by building one super simple, super powerful Patch.
This one can cover the range from; Graves into Gardens, Jireh, Here as in Heaven, and even Rattle!
Plus, if you have an Active Sunday Keys License, you can download the exact same Patche I use in this video and play it in the App. Click here for the Elevation Worship Shared Setlist
What kind (brand, model?) of keyboard would be compatible with the Sunday Keys App?
