Over the last few months I've absolutely gotten addicted to using this one new Pad Sound.
Here's the thing, though- it's not even a traditional 'pad'
It's breathy, swirly, ambient, but also organic, real, and almost folk-y
Any guesses what it is?
It wouldn't be any fun if I told you right here... besides, you need to hear it first and see if you can figure out where it came from.
Check out the video below to hear this new (not a) pad sound!

Great Sounds, David. I had Sunday Keys in the past, and the these new sounds are very nice. Just to clarify some of your statements……Approx 2:20 – the lower notes have the single strings, not higher. Higher notes typically have 3 strings. 2:48 – Native Instruments has had a felted Una Corda for years, along with other mediums, such as cotton.
My thought was a group of oboes. Fairly close but no cigar.
It sounds like a taped reversed pump organ it has a breathing sound to it and it’s oscillating. My dad had an old pump or antique when I was growing up sounded a lot like that. It’s very cool. I love it. Thanks, David.
Oboe tuning with other reed instrument.
Woodwinds. Clarinet? Flute? Oboe?
