I did something at last year’s Worship Innovators Conference that was probably the most embarrassing thing I’ve ever done on stage.
I walked up on stage to give my talk... and instead I started dancing. But not just to any song, I was dancing to my new, hit worship song 'Worship Innovator'.
The catch, though, was that the song was 100% AI-generated. And it was weird.
But I did it for a reason (and no, it wasn't just to show off my dance moves). You see, I think we creatives in the church need to have a conversation about AI and what it means for us.
AI tools are everywhere.
They can write songs, generate videos, even output sermons (!!).
And while some of that is helpful, it raises a big question for us as worship leaders:
How do we stay authentic when the tools around us may be increasingly artificial?
That's what today's video is all about. It's a topic I care a lot about. And if you don't care about it yet, you're going to need to reckon with it soon.
Btw, watch the video through to the end because we included the entire AI-generated song. The first minute or two is mostly normal but after that the song gets really weird. You’ve been warned.
The team and I will be back at the Worship Innovators Conference this year, click here to get you and your team registered, I'd love to meet you in person!
