We've all been there... You open up planning center and are filled with horror as you notice that all the songs are in Db. But then you remember, I can just transpose and play everything in G! Even equipped with the latest Capo technology, our fellow guitar players are not so fortunate.
While transposing can be incredibly helpful and save you lots of time, some of us keys players may experience flashbacks to a time where we forgot to "un-transpose," leading to one or more of the following: "the look" from our worship leader, instant mute via the sound guy, or, the worst case - a complete train wreck leading to the words no one wants to hear, "let's start that song again..."
This video will help you master the art of transposing in MainStage so you never have to second guess if you are in the right key - including how to transpose individual channel strips, entire patches, and even how to setup a global transpose section in your MainStage concert so you can transpose on the fly - last minute key change anyone? 😅
We made transpose even simpler inside Sunday Keys with the Easy Chord feature. Easy Chord allows you to set a "Play in" and "Hear in" key and it will even apply the transpose to Midi FX, sequences, and Song Specific Patches.
Thanks for showing how transposing a patch can cause a problem with chord triggers! We had to transpose a patch mid-song a few weeks ago; I’m so glad there were no chord triggers, or I would have been so confused. You have saved me a lot of future hassle!
