What often goes overlooked when it comes to playing Gospel music well are the Sounds.

From full, tight grand pianos, to lush digital and electric Pianos, to fast String pads, and even a few unique synth sounds.

 

The ability to dial in and layer these instruments together so you can play them from the keyboard takes your playing to a whole new level. This video that covers some of the core piano and keys sounds I associate with gospel music, and how to build a patch the next time you need to play a gospel song, or add a little gospel influence to a modern worship song.
