Frequently Asked Questions
What type of power supply works with Looptimus?
Use a 9v DC 300ma power supply. The tip polarity must be center negative.
WARNING - make sure you use the correct power supply to avoid damaging your Looptimus. This will void the warranty.
Should I Use MIDI or USB?
The beauty of Looptimus is that you can use both at the same time or just the one you prefer!
The same messages and commands are sent out both jacks simultaneously. This allows you to control multiple devices!
What does it work with?
Looptimus works great for Mac, PC, iPad, iOS, and Android when using midi-mappable software like the Sunday Keys App, Loop Community Prime, MainStage, Ableton Live, etc.
How does the Looptimus Mini work with the Looptimus?
Connect the Looptimus Mini to the Looptimus with a balanced TRS patch cable. Once they are connected, the Mini adds three additional buttons per bank, three more standalone buttons, or can be used to quickly switch between Looptimus modes.
What expression pedal do you recommend?
We recommend the Boss EV-5 or M-Audio EX-P to use as a MIDI volume pedal.
What are the Dimensions of the Looptimus?
Dimensions: 8.5″ x 5″ x 1.5″ Looptimus is designed to work well with musicians in a live setting whether you’re a guitar player that wants a familiar pedal-feel for a loop rig, a keyboard player that can mount it to their stand, or a drummer who places it right next to the high-hat pedal. Looptimus is perfect for any aspect of stage music.
