Hey friends, while MainStage packs an amazing amount of value into that $30 package, there are a few features that I really wish the software included that are unfortunately not available. One of those is a midi/step sequencer. A step sequencer allows you to trigger a series of notes with a trigger button or a single note on your keyboard. This is a super useful effect for playing complex arp patters live in a reliable way.

Well after much experimenting and tweaking I've found a solution to this problem that I think works very well. Check out the video below to see how I put it together in real time.
